Huawei Mate 80 series has sold 6.49 million units to date, and these booming sales are constantly contributing to the company’s position in the Chinese smartphone market. The OEM is currently standing at the first spot in the market ranking.
RDObservation revealed that the Huawei Mate 80 flagship has made 6.49 million units in sales as of the 22nd week of 2026 and is now marching to the 7 million mark.
The 2025 Mate models achieved 6.29 million unit shipments in the 20th week of this year. It means the company sold nearly 200,000 units in just one week.
Mate 80 series’ strong demand in the consumer market is helping Huawei to remain in the leading position. In the latest edition, the Chinese tech firm has recorded 20.7% of the market share and ranked first in the smartphone sales listing.

Apple achieved the second spot in the ranking with 19.4%. Even though the iPhone 17 series is still dominating a large share in the Chinese market, the Mate 80 flagship is continuously giving it tough competition in shipments.
Huawei Mate 80 series’ fruitful sales suggest two things – a strong user base of the company and an improved supply chain. The OEM has significantly optimized its chip production in February this year, leading to better sales of the flagship.
Not only the Mate 80 smartphones, but the Nova 15 series also showed an efficient sales performance. Pura 90, Pura X Max, and the Nova 16 models are also gaining attention in the market for their powerful upgrades and impressive design.
Whether the Mate 80 lineup will really reach the 20 million milestone is worth looking at!
