Huawei prepares for rising component cost with products price adjustment

Huawei has officially announced a price adjustment to its phones and other products, starting next month. The company has shared an official notice on its website, revealing that it will alter the pricing of its devices to cut the cost pressure.

As per the new notice, Huawei will begin the price adjustment for its smartphones, tablets, and all other products from next month (July 1st, 2026).

Lenovo will also join the path with a price adjustment plan for all of its products next month. Though the company hasn’t confirmed the exact date to take action.

Challenges like memory shortages, memory chip price hikes, and rising component costs are urging brands to raise the price of their consumer products. Brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, and more have already taken the step of making price adjustments.

During the Pura 90 series launch event, the Huawei Consumer Business Chairman Richard Yu stated that the company faced pressure while setting the price for the camera flagship and will likely increase the cost if the pressure persists.

It looks like the time of making price adjustments is here!

The Chinese OEM thanked its customers for their constant support and said that the Smart Collaboration Parts prices saw a rise last year, and this trend will continue in 2026 due to the current memory chip shortages and their price increase.

Huawei stated that under the influence of the global chip industry, rapid development of technologies like AI, and high chip demand, there is a need for cost alteration.

The company mentioned:

“…after careful consideration of various aspects, from July 1, 2026 on, we will make appropriate adjustments to the prices of intelligent collaboration products produced by the company, so as to relieve the ever-increasing cost pressure.”
