Huawei is not only developing new 5G mobile phone SoCs but also a Kirin PC chipset. It seems that apart from new handsets tipped for a September launch, the company is also working on a premium-grade computer with an enhanced processor.
A Weibo tipster has recently stated that Huawei may have more than one version of the PC chip. While the tipster didn’t mention things clearly, it looks like Huawei is making a new Kirin PC chipset.
The company has announced that a new HarmonyOS-powered desktop PC is in the works. It will likely enter the testing phase this month or by August and will debut in September, probably alongside the Mate 90 series smartphones.
Early inputs suggested that the company’s first desktop computer would use a Kirin X90 processor with overclocked cores. And the latest leak aligns well with this matter.

Per the new details, Huawei could unveil an enhanced or optimized version of the Kirin X90 chip. The original processor supports 10 cores + 20 threads. It has eight cores of 2.31GHz and 12 cores of 2.05GHz. The chip is coupled with Maleoon 916 GPU.
Although the rumored upcoming processor may bring some optimized cores. Other details of the new PC chip are under wraps at present. Meanwhile, the company hasn’t shared any specific information on the 2026 PC processor yet. Hence, it is better to take this input with a grain of salt and wait for more revelations.
