Huawei leads in stable voice network tech capabilities: GlobalData

Huawei not only offers a stable 5G network solution on a large scale but also leads in terms of Single Voice Core (SVC) tech capabilities, according to the GlobalData Report. The company has once again achieved the top position in network competitiveness.

GlobalData has tagged Huawei as the leader of the stable voice network tech capabilities. The company has given full marks to the Chinese OEM in every aspect.

Since 5G has become a crucial part of the world, its relevant solutions like VoLTE or VoNR continue to enhance, pairing up with the cloud-native tech framework.

Currently, the core competitive elements for various vendors in the voice core network race are network stability, disaster recovery features, AI service support, and the potential to evolve existing voice networks.

To check on these dimensions, GlobalData evaluated industry vendors in five major segments, where Huawei obtained the highest points. These segments are as follows:

1. Platform and Performance: SVC uses Huawei’s leading dual-stack frame, which protects operators’ network investments and enables voice networks to evolve smoothly to 5G/5G-A. It has one of the best high-reliability disaster recovery architectures, which helps ensure uninterrupted calls in extreme scenarios.

2. Solution Architecture: Huawei SVC solution can possess cloud-native capabilities based on bare-metal. Its single network carries 2G/3G/4G/5G as well as VoBB, VoIP, and VoWiFi services across all generations.

It is capable of meeting the dual demands of global operators – whether it’s ramping up the decommissioning of 2G/3G networks or maintaining long-term coexistence of multiple generations of voice networks.

3. Deployment Experience: Huawei has deployed its SVC solution in over 420 networks worldwide, serving 2+ billion VoLTE/VoNR users and 200 million 2G/3G users, as well as has developed more than 80 million AI calling users in China.

4. Feature and Application support: SVC brings four features: Quiet Calls, Accessible Calls, Secure Calls, and Interactive Calls. It further prioritizes the integration of AI into native voice calls, bringing new services like intelligent noise reduction, simultaneous interpretation, and AI call summary.

5. Interoperability: In addition to the standard 3GPP VoLTE roaming solution, SVC provides the SVR (Single Voice Roaming) solution, which can quickly realize global VoLTE roaming without changing 2G/3G roaming settlement.
