Huawei MatePad Air 2026 is launching on July 14, and its latest teaser has given a clear statement on its design, which differs from that of the predecessor to some extent. The company has tried to make the Airy tablet more appealing this time.
The company will hold a grand-scale launch event on July 14, welcoming the Pura 90s Series to the global stage. At the same time, it will showcase some other complementary devices like new earbuds.
MatePad Air 2026 model will be part of the launch platform. While the flagship camera phone will take center stage, the new sleek tablet is well-prepared to draw your attention to its revamped appearance.
Let’s check how the Huawei MatePad Air 2026 tablet differs from the previous-generation model in terms of design:

The device comes in four elegant shades: Cherry Blossom Pink, Grass + Tea Green, Feather White, and Smoky Gray. Speaking of the design, the front part is flat with slim bezels and a lightweight profile. But the highlight is the camera layout.

MatePad Air 2025 camera module is similar to the Nova 12 Ultra handset. It has a thick horizontal pill-shaped camera framework with a giant ring on one side and two small rings on the other, vertically. A glance can remind you of the Nova phone.

However, the company has changed the camera layout with the new model. The actual lens plate with an imaging ring and an LED flash is surrounded by a thick rim of the same color as the back panel. The overall module is slightly uplifted.
It gives an interesting look to the device along with a premium vibe. Huawei has also seemingly changed the colors of the Airy tablet to some extent. Whether the OEM has made any significant changes to the internal specs of the device is worth looking at.
