MatePad Pro 12.2 is one of the most user-friendly tablets in the Huawei family, but it seems the company can soon increase this product’s price. A new piece of information suggests that the company is on the verge of making major cost changes.
FixedFocus on Weibo has recently stated that Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 is one of the most convenient tablets in the Chinese market, though it may go through a price increase in the coming days.
The tipster neither revealed the details of the price hike nor the exact time when the company will announce the raise for the device. But some previous inputs hinted that Huawei could increase the price of tablets by 500 to 800 yuan this month.

Huawei introduced the MatePad Pro 12.2 2025 globally in May last year. It made its way to the home ground in July, featuring a dual-layer OLED screen as well as a Kirin T92 processor.
In the current scenario, the tech giant is developing the 2026 MatePad Pro 12.2 model. The device could bring significant upgrades in terms of chipset, design, battery, and internal parameters compared to the previous-generation tablet.
Notably, Huawei hasn’t clearly mentioned whether it will increase the price for the existing models. Hence, it is uncertain if the tipster has described the latest “cost hike” details for the MatePad Pro 12.2 2025 model or the one coming this year.
Huawei announced last month that starting in July, the company will adjust the pricing of its products due to the increasing pressure of rising component costs and memory shortages. What other changes are coming on this matter will become clear soon.
