Huawei’s wide, non-foldable phone is catching traction in the leaks section for its interesting form factor, and the latest input for this device sheds light on its screen size. As per the details, the company may follow Pura X‘s display size for the new creation.
Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation reported that Huawei is working on a new, wide phone that could debut as a non-foldable version of the Pura X clamshell device.
In other words, Huawei’s wide non-foldable phone could use the same look and screen size as the Pura X. The only difference between the two models will be form factor.
According to the leaked details, the new wide, non-foldable can use a 6.39-inch display panel with a wide 16:10 screen ratio, resembling Pura X to a great extent.
Other specifications include an enhanced Kirin 9 series chipset, a 7000mAh battery pack, and a 50MP triple-camera system. The company may also add some other surprises to the device that can further boost the user experience.
For those who look for a wide-screen handset without purchasing a foldable or spending too much, Huawei’s new creation can be the right choice. But the only bottleneck that appears in this segment is the broadness that may not fit in your pocket.
Early details hinted that the company would debut the new wide, non-foldable phone by the fourth quarter of this year. Another leak also stated that Huawei could launch the new creation after the Mate 90 series official unveiling.
Pura X is Huawei’s first device in the market to feature a whole new design concept. It appeared as a compact, wide foldable with the stable HarmonyOS 5.0 software version. What plans the OEM has for its non-foldable variant are worth looking forward to!
