Honor ROBOT PHONE will likely go official next month and ahead of that, a new leak has revealed the chip details and display information of the incredible robotic device for the first time. The leaked input also sheds light on the ultimate camera setup.
As noted by Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation, Honor will launch ROBOT PHONE in August with a flagship chip and a compact display panel. The new form factor is just not enough and the company seems to have more surprises with this device.
Details reveal that the ROBOT PHONE may use a 6.3- or 6.4-inch flat screen with 1.5K resolution. The compact size of the device will ensure that it can easily fit even in your shirt’s pocket.
Meanwhile, Honor may equip the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset to the robotic arm device. The flagship mobile processor has an octa-core mobile platform + 3nm process node. Its core configuration includes:
- 2 x Prime Cores of custom Oryon Gen 3 clocked at 4.6GHz
- 6 x Performance Cores of Oryon Gen 3 clocked at 3.63GHz
It can further have a 200MP F/1.6 aperture and 23mm focal length main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. All these imaging solutions will likely be featured by ARRI – the German lens producer.
Speaking of the price, the tipster mentioned that the Honor ROBOT PHONE won’t be a cheap product. Based on its interesting form factor and dynamic camera capabilities, the device might range similarly to a premium-grade handset.
