Counterpoint has shared the progress details of the global tablet market for Q3 2025 where Apple, Huawei, and several other brands showed impressive sales performance. Although the top five ranking has some unexpected names this time.
Many tablet vendors are seeing a positive growth in the third quarter of this year. The report shows Apple as the leading brand in the tablet competition – thanks to iPads.
Apple saw fruitful tablet sales in Q3 2025 due to the strong demand for the Air and Pro models in the market. Besides, Mini tablets have also grabbed consumers’ attention, which resulted in stable sales support in all aspects.
Report says:
“Apple’s iPad sales will likely grow around 10% YoY in 2026, supported by a balanced mix of premium and base models, with only a slightly higher contribution from base models.”
The iPad maker holds 34% market share (same as last year) and sees a small hike in the shipment growth. Samsung ranked second with 18% market share and 0% growth in the tablet sales segment.
Lenovo ranked third with a market share of 9% and a shipment progress rate of 23%. Huawei has appeared at the fourth spot in the Q3 2025 global tablet market with a 10% sales growth and 9% market share (1% up from Q3 2024).
Devices like the MatePad 11.5 S and 12 X have garnered a lot of traction in the market with their special features, upgraded Notes app, and prime specs + tech capabilities.
Amazon ranked fifth with 13% growth in sales, and Xiaomi has gained the sixth position in the ranking with an 8% of progress in shipments and 7% of the market share (just like Amazon).
The report has primarily revolved around the iPads and how they can step into new heights in the time ahead. Perhaps, global tablet competitors will witness Apple as a tougher rival in the future.
