Huawei Pura 90 series is once again making headlines, and it’s neither about its sales nor a global debut, but rather a new S-tagged model. The company is rumored to expand its recently released P-series family with a variant ending in “S”.
The information is coming from the courtesy of FixedFocus. Per the rumor, Huawei will soon launch an S-tagged model for the Pura 90 smartphone series.
It can either be an independent variant or belong to the Pura 90 Pro series. Following the rumor, people commented if the device would be a Lite variant or inferior to the Premium Edition. The tipster responded, “It can be superior to the Premium version.”
Other details like key specifications and highlighting features of the S device are currently under wraps. On the flip side, the latest rumor is circulating in the doubt sphere.

Huawei started a new approach last year – launching a Premium Edition for its smartphone lineups. Pura X foldable, Mate 70, and Pocket 2 clamshell are some devices to get such a device. Meanwhile, an S variant is available for the folding phones.
But an S model for the flagship regular phone lineup has never been part of the company’s launch strategy. What exactly Huawei is planning with the S-based smartphone model is unclear at present.
Note that the phone maker hasn’t confirmed any such news yet. Meanwhile, there is no other such rumor about an S-tagged Huawei handset on the Chinese social media platform. Perhaps more revelations will be out in the coming days.
