Xiaomi not only has new smartphones to launch this year but also prepping for its next-gen chipset – XRING 02, and it might debut with the Xiaomi 17S series. A new input suggests that the company could release its self-made processor in 2026.
As noted by XiaomiTime, Xiaomi 17S series could make way for the XRING 02 chipset. The company will launch its Ultra model this month, while the S-tagged phone next year.
Interestingly, the previous-gen S model – Xiaomi 15S Pro brought in the first self-developed chip of the company XRING 01. This was an ultimate step by Xiaomi, helping China to break its reliance on US-based technologies and foreign chipsets.
Since Xiaomi is now up with a new S phone – Xiaomi 17S series, there is a big chance that it will launch the XRING 02 processor with the respective handset.
Many tipsters have revealed that Xiaomi has the new-gen S series phones in the pipeline and will likely unveil them in the first quarter of next year. The new series will debut as a normal iteration, but the twist could be the upgraded processor.
Notably, the Xiaomi 17S series won’t step into the global market, just like the previous models. Meanwhile, its internal specifications and features are currently uncertain.
