Despite a tense and competing situation, Nvidia keeps applauding Huawei as the strongest company in the world of technology. The US chipmaker said that the Chinese OEM is one of the most powerful firms in history and is worthy of respect.
Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, attended the Center for Strategic and International Studies event in the US on December 3. During his speech, he mentioned how he sees Huawei on the battleground of AI chip technology.
Nvidia said that Huawei is the strongest technology company in the world’s history and it deserves everyone’s respect. The firm is not only big in terms of size, but also has a deep and broad mindset that helps it to grow in the tech field.
The CEO further stated that if people look at Huawei now, they will see how outstanding the company has become in the area of autonomous driving. Besides, the firm has quite remarkable AI technology that is worthy of all attention and honor.
Huang added that Huawei is a company with strong AI chipset design capabilities, system design, and system software, which is still difficult for many firms out there.
Jensen Huang said:
“Huawei is not only highly innovative but also a company of extraordinary scale and strength. Huawei is much larger than us; in terms of company size, personnel size, and technological capabilities. It’s both deep and broad. Anyone who has carefully examined a Huawei phone will understand the technological marvels it embodies.”
During the interrogation, the media asked how Nvidia sees Huawei in the AI race – a competitor or a partner. In response, the CEO said that the Chinese firm remains highly competitive.
“It is our rival, but we can still admire and respect them, maintaining good relations. Competitors are not enemies. The world is vast, and I hope we can continue to compete for many years to come, but my feelings towards them are admiration, respect, and a strong competitive spirit.”
