Huawei Mate 80/X7 supports more new Amap navigation features

Apart from some dynamic industry-leading technologies, Huawei Mate 80 and Mate X7 are also the first to support the new HarmonyOS-based AMap navigation features. These devices now have some amazing features related to the map application.

Gaode Maps (Amap in English) is a popular Chinese map service. Since the most famous, Google Maps doesn’t work well in China, Alibaba’s app is a perfect alternative.

The application is familiar for excellent navigation features like real-time traffic, details maps, routes for driving, walking, or biking, transit, and many more functions.

Now the best part is, Huawei Mate 80 and Mate X7 debuted with the all-new HarmonyOS-based Amap features. It supports automatic route planning via underground ring roads/parking garages to prevent surface crowding.

Eventually, it reduces navigation time and offers accurate positioning even in complex, multi-level traffic environments. In case you have dealt with the Jeifangbei area’s traffic, then you can relate how useful the new feature can be!

Pura 80 series also supports Amap features like lane-level navigation and positioning in long tunnels. These tools allow users to see their current lane without the requirement of any satellite signal assistance.

But with Mate 80, the firm has enhanced the Amap app to a greater extent. It now supports ring road segment for car elevators, traffic lights, intersections, and underground parking garage scenarios. It will add more cities and models soon.

With HarmonyOS, apps like Amap have become smarter, faster, and more useful for device owners in every aspect. They can easily reach their main destination without spending hours amid the traffic.

This is just the beginning! Let’s see what else Huawei is cooking in the native HarmonyOS app ecosystem for its smartphones, foldable devices, and tablets.
