HyperOS 3.0 stable update is reaching eligible devices and meanwhile, it seems the company has started working on the 4.0 software iteration with additions like Android 16 AI notification organizer. One can expect better features with next upgrade.
Android 16 QPR2 update is out for Pixel devices and has a Notification Organizer. It is an AI-based feature that enhances the way you deal with app alerts.
Notification Organizer generally uses on-device AI to analyze app alerts or notifications and determine if they fit into any of the pre-determined or user-selected groups. If they do, the feature bundles these alerts in that one particular category.
It is a major saver at times when you are quite busy and unable to handle all types of notifications. Speaking of the groups, you can select these groups:
- Promotions: Sales News, New Features, and more
- News: Top Stories, Editorials, and more
- Social: Likes, Posts, and more
- Suggested: Newsletters, recommended media, and more

Promotions and News options are in work by default while users have to enable the other two categories as per their requirement. Interestingly, you can silence these categories based on the seriousness of your work.
The feature analyzes where to place the app notifications based on their content and priority. Now, it seems Xiaomi is planning to adopt this AI Notification Organizer feature for HyperOS 4.0 in the future.
XiaomiTime noted that the Chinese OEM could provide a similar set of features as Google’s new QPR updates in its next software iteration with the help of Android 17.
