2025 is on the verge of ending and ahead of that Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of Huawei, has raised a toast to AI chip and computing power accomplishments. She further shed light on the future plans and strategies of the company.
Meng said that Huawei has built a strong foundation for computing this year. It has expanded both Kunpeng and Ascend AI chip ecosystems to bolster new growth.
She added that Ascend AI chipsets now have over 3000 partners along with 4 million developers. The credit goes to Huawei’s efforts for drafting the respective chipset development three months ago with confidence of matching Nvidia’s level.
Ascend processors like the 910C and more are now equivalent to some of the Nvidia chips. The US chipmaker believes that Huawei has the calibre of breaking all types of semiconductor and AI server bottlenecks in the coming years.

On the other hand, Kunpeng server central processing units have nearly 6800 partners and 3.8 million developers. Together, the Huawei AI chip products and computing techs helped the firm to grow its tech empire in 2025.
Huawei also said it had developed the world’s most powerful supernode computing cluster based on Ascend chips to help empower the country’s AI ambitions.
The Atlas 900 supernode is one of the world’s leading AI training clusters. It involves thousands of Ascend processors and serves varied industries, like internet, finance, telecoms, and power grid operators. Meng said:
“A new journey in the age of intelligence has begun. In the new year, Huawei would make its clustering and supernode technology more readily accessible to form a solid AI computing backbone.”
Meng also shed light on the company’s achievements in the self-driving technology field. She said the company has a strategic focus that will help it win the battle for value, achieve victory via quality, and strengthen organizational capabilities.
