2026 is here and Xiaomi is bringing the best gift for its devices this new year in the form of a 5-year HyperOS updates support expansion. Yes, the company has expanded the software plan for some of its excellent models including Redmi and POCO.
Xiaomi offers 4 years of Android/HyperOS updates and 6 years of useful security support to flagship devices. Meanwhile, the Redmi phones get a 3 to 4-year security rollout support with a couple of years major Android or HyperOS updates.
POCO phones also receive around 2 to 3 years of massive OS upgrades. But Xiaomi is seemingly bringing 5-year HyperOS updates support for selected devices.
As noted by XiaomiTime, the company is officially expanding the update support time for many handsets by a “great margin”. Well, this software cycle of security updates will enable users to spend more time with their graceful phones.
