It’s finally here! Honor has launched Power 2 – as one of the best outdoor smartphones. The device debuts with the largest battery and the strongest communication signal traits. But that’s not it! There is a lot more to explore in this new creation.
Remember the first-gen Power phone? It has a square camera bump with a minimalistic appearance. Although the second-gen handset has a top-tier device look!
Honor Power 2 launched in a bright “Sunrise Orange” shade, just like the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Not only the colors, but the phone is also identical to Apple’s flagship in design.
The device has a rectangular lens module on the upper part of the back. It has three imaging sensors in a triangular format on the left side, while a golden colored “Power” tag, embedded over a grille-like design above the LED flash. The first two vertical rings are smaller than the third ring at the center.

Design
Honor has crafted the Power 2 phone with a matte metal frame using the cold carving technique. As a result, you get a premium feel on the hands while holding it. This is a top-grade metal frame that even protects the device from wear and tear.
Power 2 debuts in three pretty colors: Sunrise Orange, Midnight Black, and Snow White. The first two shades have a plain matte-like finish on the back. Whereas the white variant has a marble-like pattern running throughout the glass panel.
Display
The device measures 7.98mm in thickness and weighs 216 grams. It has a 6.79-inch AMOLED screen with 2640 x 1200 pixels resolution and 8000 nits peak brightness. Looks like Honor Power 2 has directly challenged the Mate 80 Pro Max!
As a result, one will experience ultra-high brightness and clear visuals of the displayed content even under outdoor overhead light. Meanwhile, the Oasis Screen ensures defocused vision relief, AI brightness adjustment, AI Sleep aid, and 3840Hz dimming.

Chipset
Speaking of the chipset, Honor Power 2 is the first to feature Dimensity 8500 Elite. The octa-core chip is coupled with Mali-G720 MC8 GPU and has these cores:
- 1 large A725 core @ 3.4GHz
- 3 medium A725 cores @ 3.2GHz
- 4 small A725 cores @ 2.2GHz
The new MediaTek Dimensity chipset has increased the CPU performance by 7% and offers around 25% of improved GPU performance. It is the main reason behind pushing the Power 2 beyond 2.4 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

Outdoor mode also delivers thoughtful weather alerts and makes your travels safer. It further adjusts the brightness accordingly when you are under the sun.
Second-Generation Hongyan Communication
Power 2 debuts with the six-wing antenna system, where the mid-frame antenna accounts for 100% of the communication strength and is capable of boosting the signal by 200%.
It supports dual-channel parallel transmission across 13 frequency bands and quad-channel parallel reception across 34 frequency bands, making it the industry leader with stronger and more stable signal strength in all types of scenarios.
It enhances live streaming smoothness by 26.7% and voice call fluency by 64.5% even in elevators. The device also supports Beidou + dual-frequency GPS positioning with 29%% of the success rate of exit route planning and 26% pedestrial navigation.
