Many phone brands are now heading towards the “cooling fan technology” and Xiaomi is also seemingly on the same path. A new piece of news says that the company’s upcoming flagship will bring a built-in fan component and a high-end chipset.
As noted by DigitalChatStation, Xiaomi is preparing a new phone that will use the dynamic cooling fan technology. The company is currently testing the respective built-in upgrade and could locate it in the camera bump, behind imaging parts.
Speculating about the new device, netizens said it could be the Redmi K90 Ultra. The specific phone is in the making and may debut as the firm’s first FAN Edition.
Cooling fans prevent performance drops that often become usual in top-end phones due to heavy tasks or intense gaming. A fan in the handset will ensure smoother gameplay, higher frame rates, and faster responsiveness.

The tipster mentioned that currently Honor WIN Series is leading the way. iQOO 15 Ultra is also on the same path and rumored to feature an active cooling fan.
After the Mate 80 GTS, Xiaomi’s upcoming handset is now making buzz to use a cooling fan technology, supporting the chip performance as well as preventing heat issues. The device will further bring an IP68 rating dust and waterproof body.
In addition to the fan tech, the device will also bring an ultra-high refresh rate to the table. Redmi K90 Ultra may follow the same minimalistic look as other variants. Though its internal tech capabilities will appear as major selling factors.
