Huawei has announced that the International Sparklink Alliance has certified two Huawei audio devices – FreeBuds Pro 5 and FreeClip 2 earphones with the NearLink technology.

The Telecommunication Technology Certification Center Co., Ltd. (TTC) has issued certification authorized by the SparkLink Alliance. This makes the two products the first in the audio category to receive the NearLink certification in the industry.

The FreeBuds Pro 5 have a certificate number iSLA012025003-0000001, and the FreeClip 2 earbuds have iSLA012025003-0000002.

Unveiled in November last year, the FreeBuds Pro 5 comes with a new Star Ring design featuring a diamond-cut faceted ring engraved with a sound-gathering star, which complements the Yue Zhang Logo.

The in-ear space of headphones is crafted after the analysis of 10,000 human ear data points and verification using over 1,000 headphone designs for a comfortable fit and lightweight experience. The charging case is made of eco-friendly vegan leather using a 3D ultra-deep curved surface splicing process to achieve a fit between the vegan leather and the shell.

The headphone is powered by NearLink audio technology, with NearLink 2.0, the audio transmission has become much faster thanks to the power of the Kirin A3 chipset, which provides 16 Mbps of physical transmission rate.

The NearLink tech enables 2.4GHz/5.8GHz dual-band communication, and its antenna is optimized for dynamic switching for a stable connection. It comes with high-res audio, offering 4.6 Mbps of lossless audio quality thanks to the L2HC5.0 audio codec, which achieves 96 kHz/24-bit lossless transmission, preserving audio details for the end user.

The FreeBuds Pro 5’s Kirin A3 chip is equipped with dual DSP (digital signal processor) and dual DAC (digital-to-analog converter) audio drivers to further enhance audio quality.

The ultra-linear dual-magnetic circuit bass unit can reach down to 10Hz for powerful bass, and the micro-planner tweeter can reach up to 48 kHz for clarity.

In terms of noise cancellation, the FreeBuds Pro 5 earbuds bring dual-engine AI noise cancellation with more powerful background noise reduction compared to the previous generation.
