Huawei has released a new update for the Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch, installing new health features, including a heart failure risk assessment. The update comes with HarmonyOS firmware version 6.0.0.209 and is spreading in batches.
The new additions include a coronary heart disease risk assessment. Users can join a coronary heart disease research project via the Huawei Research app on their smartphone.
Once signed up, the app will start collecting vital sign data under different conditions during the day and night. After wearing the smartwatch for 3 to 4 days, the app will show the coronary heart disease risk assessment results.
This feature requires the smartphone running HarmonyOS 5 and later software version with the Huawei Research app updated to version 1.1.10.320 or later.
Besides this capability, a wheelchair mode is also added to the activity log to show wheelchair users a personalized exercise experience. Furthermore, the watch comes with real-time simulated cadence support for outdoor cycling mode. Additionally, the outdoor cycling mode has 3D distance compensation prompts and bicycle type selection for a more professional cycling experience.

The update also gives users access to remote control on some Android devices, allowing them to capture a photograph from their wrist.
The tech company officially unveiled the Watch Ultimate 2 at November’s Mate 80 series launch event. It was the first to use the dolphin sonar network capability and supports the AI assistant.
Its design includes double-toned nano-tech ceramic bezels and a wave-textured fluoroelastomer strap for a perfect fit and comfortable experience. On the other hand, the case is made of hard-coated Zirconium-based liquid metal, while the display is protected with sapphire glass for high durability.
Similar to the Watch series, the X-TAP technology is now part of the Ultimate Watch design. It helps you to know important health vitals through a tap of the finger. With its high-quality functionalities, the Watch can run upto 4.5 days in typical use and up to 11 days with power saving mode.
