Apart from the 2026 Magic flagship, Honor is currently working on a very budget-friendly phone called Honor 600 Lite, which has recently received a new certification confirming eSIM support. The listing also hints at an imminent launch of the phone.
Honor 600 Lite could debut as X80i in China. The new device is currently clearing the pre-launch testing with the model number LNA-NX1 and may launch globally in the coming months.
In the latest edition, the new budget-friendly Honor phone has passed the GCF and EMVCo certificates, confirming its compatibility with eSIM. Perhaps, it will be the first cost-effective smartphone to support advanced cellular functionality.
GCF stands for Global Certification Forum, and EMVCo is for Electronic Device Management Co., Ltd. The former is responsible for checking the global interoperability between mobile devices and network technologies.
The GCF certification has revealed network connectivity features such as 5G capability, Standalone and Non-Standalone models, MMS at H.264 video format with 3GPP Release 12 standard, and more.
It also highlights that the Honor 600 Lite will support a dual-SIM feature. One of these will be a physical SIM card, while the other will be an eSIM card.
On the other hand, the EMVCo checks secure and interoperable payment transactions worldwide. It has further confirmed NFC (Near Field Communication) contactless payment compatibility under Type A and Type B communication protocols.
Note that the new device is still in the development phase. Honor has not revealed any features about this creation or confirmed its launch timeline for Chinese or global markets.
