Huawei Pura X2 will likely expand to include larger internal and external screens. Unlike the previous-generation model with small displays, the upcoming Pura foldable could feature bigger and wider panels to enhance the viewing experience.
ExperienceMore tipster on Weibo revealed that the Huawei Pura X2 can feature larger screens. The company may use a 7.69-inch WQHD+ panel for the inner display, while an upgraded 5.5-inch panel for the cover part.
That says the Pura X2 won’t bring any dramatic change in appearance. It may, however, introduce certain notable upgrades in terms of the overall body proportion.
One such upgrade can be the screen that will grow by a few inches this time. For comparison, the Pura X foldable has a 6.3-inch inner and a 3.5-inch outer screen.
Further, the tipster mentioned the use of WQHD+ display technology. It stands for Wide Quad High Definition Plus and delivers enhanced visual clarity, greater screen real estate, and a more immersive experience in productivity + entertainment.

The respective display tech also reduces eye strain during extended use of the device and enables users to open multiple windows, documents, or apps in split mode without compromising the content visibility.
In addition, the tipster stated that Pura X2 will bring an upgraded Kirin 5G chip – 9030 on board and an enhanced telephoto sensor. Earlier inputs suggested that the new-gen Pura foldable could be the first in the Huawei family to feature a 200MP camera lens. Though the particular leak’s accuracy remains doubtful.
Apart from the Pura X2, the tipster pointed out that Huawei and Samsung will be the two brands to deliver standard-proportion wide-folding phones this year.
Perhaps Apple will get major competition in the foldable race despite being a new entry.
