Huawei could launch small, wide non-foldable phone in Q4 2026

Pura X2 launch time is still a big secret to resolve, while a new small and wide non-foldable Huawei phone has started making waves for its Q4 2026 launch. The mysterious device is currently in the development phase and may show up in the market this year.

Two weeks ago, Weibo tipster DigitalChatStation revealed a new mystery, a small yet wide screen Huawei phone that could go official by Q4 2026. The tipster is now back with some more details about this new device.

According to the information, Huawei is working on a wide and flat screen non-foldable handset. The device will likely feature the same aspect ratio as the Pura X.

However, it may differ in terms of features. The leak further describes that the engineering machine of this device is testing a 6.39-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution. Meanwhile, the screen ratio could range between 16:9 and 16:10.

Besides, the mysterious smartphone is said to be a flagship. Following the leak, many netizens speculated that Huawei may launch this new device in the Mate family by the end of this year.

The new input contradicts a previous report that said Huawei has no plans for a small-sized phone and will focus on the mid-to-low-end handsets in 2026 to enhance its smartphone sales. But it seems the company has an idea on this topic.

Some other netizens predicted that Huawei could unveil the new small + wide screen regular phone as a part of the flagship Pura 90 series or the Nova 16 lineup.

Huawei has not commented on this news yet. Hence, it is better to take this input with a grain of salt at the moment and wait for the official details on this subject.
