Huawei officially unveiled the Mate 80 Pro for the global market, returning its premium phone launches to overseas customers after three years of hiatus.
The key attraction to the device is its design language, featuring dual space rings. The phone has a brand new architecture that increases strength with a new glass and durable nylon fiber. Combined, they provide up to 5 times improved drop resistance than the Mate 70 Pro. The device is also IP68 and IP69 rated for high temperature and water resistance.
It sports a 6.75-inch OLED screen with 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming. The screen has flat corners on all sides and low bezels that not only improve the viewing experience but provides a seamless look to the device.

The first ring on the rear side contains four cameras:
- 50MP main camera with variable aperture ranging from F1.4 to F4.0 and optical image stabilization, as well as RYBB sensor that lets more light enter the camera for brighter images.
- The second is a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera to take wide shots.
- Third is a 48MP macro telephoto lens with a clear 4x zoom that goes up to 100x digital zoom
- Fourth is a second-gen color-sensing camera that generates true-to-life colors in pictures and videos.

You should know that the global customers will also get the XMAGE imaging system’s power behind the camera system for better post-capture image processing. The front side has a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera accompanied by a 3d depth sensing lens to support face unlock.
To be mentioned, this is one of the largest battery phones from Huawei with a max capacity of 5750mAh, and it supports 100W super fast charging. The most interesting thing about this charger is that it is part of the retail box.
Announced today, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro will be available in selected global markets from today onwards.
