Huawei announced the all-new Wheelchair mode for the top-end Watch GT 6 series. The company has recently shared a post on X, revealing one of the most useful features for those people who aim for big wins in the world despite disabilities.
Wheelchair mode is the perfect example of how technology can benefit every user. It not only enables wheelchair users to track their daily tasks or workouts but also delivers a seamless and supportive experience in every aspect, at all times.
The company shared a brief intro of this feature in November last year. It mentioned the company is inspired by Majid Rashed, Asian Paralympic Committee President and aimed for a new technological feature for users.
Now the Wheelchair mode is official with the Huawei Watch GT 6 series. The OEM has added the new capability to the Activity Rings. Besides, the firm has upgraded a bunch of health features like heart rate, SpO2, and more algorithms for wheelchair users.
Speaking of the capability, it will precisely track the frequency and number of wheelchair pushes, ensuring that every movement is accurately tracked.
Huawei said:

Looking into the official teaser, the video reveals the inspiring journeys of several wheelchair users in the sports field. Each of them used Huawei smartwatches to check their health, performance, and track their routine.
Wheelchair mode seems to be a real technological evolution. It’s more than just a feature. Huawei calls it a tangible realization of the vision to bring digital to every person, home, and organization for a fully connected intelligent world.
According to the official details, the Wheelchair mode for eligible Huawei smartwatches will begin rolling out by the end of December. We will get more details on this matter in the time ahead.
