Honor has unveiled only the zoom camera of the Magic V6 at the MWC 2026 event – a 64MP sensor. After hearing this specification, many of us would have thought that the phone sticks to the same telephoto lens and may not bring any major changes. But the latest teaser reveals that there’s a lot under wraps!
The Chinese phone maker has dropped a new Honor Magic V6 teaser on Weibo, shedding light on its zoom camera. And yes, it has the same 64MP telephoto sensor.
But the surprise lies in the internal functionalities as Honor has seeded the industry-leading CIPA 6.5 stabilization technology to the foldable, just like the Magic 8 Pro!
Unlike the Honor Magic V5 that possesses a simple telephoto camera with minimal zooming capabilities, the upcoming foldable unlocks a Pro-like macro-photography, thanks to a CIPA 6.5 image stabilization rating.
CIPA 6.5 Image Stabilization
CIPA (Camera and Imaging Products Association) technology standard reveals that the camera can easily counteract handheld shake for sharp, clear photos and video, even at high zoom levels, and allows for longer shutter speeds in low light.
It signifies that the periscope telephoto camera can offer clear zoomed-in shots irrespective of minute hand movements. Notably, it is achieved via advanced hardware and software combinations, providing more detailed nighttime photography.

So if you are someone who loves capturing distant shots but often ends up clicking blurry images due to small hand movements, then the Magic V6 is a worthwhile choice!
Up to this point, the CIPA 6.5 image stabilization standard was found in top-tier phones like the Magic 8 Pro, Magic 8 RSR, and Vivo X300 Ultra. But for the first time, Honor is bringing this capability to its flagship foldable – the Magic V6.
Note that the main camera specs are still missing from the official frame. Hence, there could be more interesting camera changes, and you can look forward to them.
