After the MWC stage, Honor Magic V6 is now making its way to its home turf, featuring a new 4-in-1 display glass technology. The new solution eliminates the need for screen protectors by acting as an external shield for the main display panel.
Honor Magic V6 foldable has several cutting-edge specifications. From a record-breaking slimness to the largest battery to date, the device has everything to give its rivals tough competition.
A new teaser reveals that the Honor Magic V6 uses 4-in-1 display glass coating technology, which eliminates tempered glass and glare concerns.
Inputs reveal that the company has used a special silicon nitride thin film on the foldable screen without any carbon atoms. This has been possible with an atomic-level magnetron sputtering technology.
With the help of high-voltage plasma, the atomic-level crafting tech ejects atoms from a target material and deposits them as an ultra-thin, precise film on the screen.

Thus, the problem of low light transmittance of traditional diamond-like carbon films is no longer a big concern. The new display glass has around 5600 layers of silicon nitride, making the overall film thickness reach over 2000nm. As a result:
- Drop Resistance increased by 10 times
- Scratch Resistance increased by 15 times
- Water Resistance increased by 3 times
- 3x stronger anti-reflective traits
Honor has further adopted tangential CPP (Capacitive plasma polishing) technology for the first time, reducing the surface unevenness from 7 or 10nm to 2nm.
Besides, the 33 layers of anti-reflective film in the silicon-nitride film layer repeatedly adjust the refractive index and doping thickness. Thus, the screen reflectivity dropped from 5% to 1.5%.
The company has made surprising changes to the Magic V6 foldable like never before. Other hidden key specs will show up by March 10. Stay tuned.
