While Honor has already proved how Magic V6 can outshine its rivals in hinge durability, it has now given live proof of this aspect by performing pull-ups at the foldable’s launch event. That shows Honor has brought a real breakthrough in hinge tech.
Honor launched Magic V6 in China today with its various other stunning features – and the ultimate hinge technology that allows you to perform pull-ups with the device!
The company revealed that Honor has used Supreme Steel Hinge for the Magic V6, which is a self-developed aerospace-grade tunnel boring steel technology with a yield strength of 2800MPa. But what’s so special about this processing?
Well, when the steel technology is combined with the processing, it boasts a total elongation at break of over 4%. As a result, it efficiently balances both toughness and flexibility. The innovative approach focuses on both durability and stability.
Another question is – can this new hinge technology bear all types of pressure? The company has already proved this statement by showing the ultimate durability test of the Magic V6 foldable through a zipline.

However, the company has once again dropped a proof – this time at the live event where an Honor Product Manager performed pull-ups using the Magic V6.
The foldable smartphone was hung on the ceiling, attached to a triangular frame. Surprisingly, the device easily handled the weight of a human body AGAIN, without any problems. That shows its real durability.
