Honor could break all battery records with a 13000mAh phone

Looks like Honor is going to break all the battery records it has made yet with a brand-new 13000mAh phone this year. The company is now reportedly working on a new handset that will probably surpass all devices in the “biggest battery capacity” race.

A Weibo tipster has recently revealed that the Honor X80 GT phone will feature the biggest battery ever – a 13000mAh cell pack. The device is in the making and may debut in the first half of this year.

The actual cell capacity will be 13080mAh. As per the tipster, this new battery will really put all power banks out of the game, offering incredible performance at every step.

Honor launched several devices last year with extremely high battery capacities. The recent examples from those creations are the Honor WIN series and the Power 2 smartphone.

But now the Chinese phone maker is up with a major creation – the Honor X80 GT. And if the current leak is accurate, the new model will not make a new record in the “device’s battery” segment, but also outperform mainstream power banks in the consumer market.

Moreover, the leak hints at a new challenge for Samsung’s latest battery ambitions. The South Korean tech giant has been reportedly testing 12000mAh and 18000mAh batteries, but it seems Honor already has a strong response to it.

Other details of the Honor X80 GT smartphone are under wraps for the moment. Though the company is working on it and might unveil the model in the coming months. Stay tuned.
