Huawei has started rolling out the first HarmonyOS 7.0 Developer Beta 1 update to its eligible devices. Registered users will already get the new version through OTA. The firmware will likely give a glimpse of what it can bring to users with the stable release.
According to the information, Huawei is sending the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.23 SP52 build version as the first new “developer beta” update to selected compatible devices.
The firmware is primarily for developers and tech enthusiasts. They can use it for developing and testing applications or other relevant features with the new API version.
Looking into the changelog, it says that the latest Developer Beta will enable developers to explore the features and give their feedback on improvements and issues.
“Dear users, HarmonyOS 7 Developer Beta is here! This update is for developers to use in developing and testing new API applications. Please back up your device before installation.”
Speaking of the devices, Huawei is rolling out the HarmonyOS 7 Developer Beta 1 version to the first batch of eligible devices. The list includes the following smartphones:
- Mate 80 Pro
- Mate X7 series
- Mate XTs | Ultimate Design
- Pura 90 Pro Max
- Pura X
- Pura X Collector’s Edition
- Nova 15 Pro
Huawei will continue to release more builds of the new software iterations in the time ahead. Though the timelines for closed and public beta activities are currently under wraps.
