HarmonyOS 7 Developer Beta 1 is now live, and Huawei has upgraded it to API 26. The company announced the new software version today with several useful capabilities. It also pushed the iteration to developers for testing and giving feedback.
Official details reveal that HarmonyOS 7 Developer Beta is based on API 26. It is the latest Application Programming Interface version with an expanded suite of system-level services like enhanced interconnectivity, better networking, and smarter AI.
Developers can use the new HarmonyOS 7 (API 26) Beta build to access its capabilities, develop applications, adapt and test features, and offer feedback or suggestions.
It usually enables developers to experience the development kits and test applications based on the new software version. One must take precautions before proceeding.
Before upgrading, developers or tech enthusiasts need to ensure that they have backed up their device data through data cloning, Huawei Assistant, or cloud backup. To sign up for the testing phase, you need to go through these steps:
- Register for the event via the Developer Alliance app or the HarmonyOS Developer website
- Fill in the registration information carefully and submit it after verifying that it is correct.
- After submission, please wait patiently for the official review.
- The review process will take 3-5 business days.
- You will receive results via official Huawei email or SMS.
- Once approved, the team will push the developer beta version to your device.
