Honor Magic 9 series will debut later this year and new leaks are constantly revealing what this flagship can bring in terms of display, chip, battery, and other parameters of the device. A new input has revealed what the standard model of this family may accompany to the table.
DigitalChatStation reported that the Honor Magic 9 vanilla version could use a 6.36-inch display and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Details suggest that the standard variant is currently testing a 3nm mobile processor.
For comparison, the Magic 8 flagship launched last year with a 6.58-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED flat screen, which supported 6000 nits peak brightness, 4320Hz PWM Dimming, and an AI-powered night display mode. It was shielded by Rhino Glass.
In terms of the chipset, the respective smartphone used the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. While Honor can make changes in screen size this year, the mobile SoC for the standard Magic 8 may remain the same as the previous-generation model.
The tipster further noted that the battery capacity will begin with 8000mAh. It hints that the high-end variants of the Magic 9 lineup can feature even bigger cell packs.
Magic 9 may come on the ground with a 64MP periscope zoom camera, and this sensor could be the OmniVision OV64D. Notably, the same sensor is available in the Magic 8 with an f/2.6 aperture and offers many macro shooting capabilities.
Other suspected features for the standard variant include wireless charging, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an IP68/69 rating, and more. Note that the company can make significant upgrades to this model as per its strategy. So let’s give ourselves some more time to get the exact parameters of this device.
