Phone brands have now started announcing price adjustments for their top-end devices, and Honor is also planning to join the pool with a price hike in its notebook products. One of the company’s officials himself dropped clues on this subject.
Honor PC Product Manager @HONOR-tim Peng revealed that the constant rise in component costs is affecting phone brands, and Honor is no exception in this regard.
Those consumers looking for a MagicBook notebook can purchase the devices immediately, as Honor could show a price hike for its products in the coming days.
Official translation of HONOR-tim’s post is:
“Apple finally couldn’t hold out any longer and raised prices. The Honor PC laptop is no exception. Only a few days left. Those who were waiting, hurry up and grab it, or you’ll really regret it!”
The executive mentioned that many brands like Apple are unable to bear the pressure of component costs and thus, they have increased the price of their notebooks, smartphones, and tablets. He added that the industry-wide price hike is unavoidable.
Apart from the component cost, the memory chip shortage is another reason why several technology vendors are now considering a price increase for their products.
