Huawei today shared the benefits of a very practical feature – Hyperspace Memory that helps in making your smartphone run smoothly regardless of multiple opened apps. It further enhances the device’s productivity in your day-to-day life.
Richard Yu, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business, shared a new video today, detailing the uses and benefits of the Hyperspace Memory feature to phone users.
The chief stated that many people are not clear about the two numbers they see while purchasing a smartphone – 16GB + 512GB. Both are essential parts of a device.
16GB is the RAM that enables your device to run several applications or open and close them smoothly, without resulting in lag or irresponsiveness. On the other hand, 512GB is the internal storage that holds videos, photos, files, and other content.
Devices with 16GB RAM claim to run more than 15 apps together without any stability issues. But often, when users try to open the 16th application, it leads to lag.
Yu says to open that 16th app, users prefer to clear all the background apps and processes, including certain important services as well, which is equivalent to a ruined user experience. And to save you from this trouble, Huawei is here!

The company has addressed this issue with the Hyperspace Memory feature that can compress the “already opened apps”, reducing them in size and their memory usage.
Richard Yu says:
“As a result, a 16GB RAM device can achieve the same app running capability as the original 20GB RAM phone and can keep running smoothly even when opening more than 20 apps at the same time.”
Huawei launched this feature in March this year with the Fan Phone. It is similar to Honor’s Smart RAM technology. The new capability can achieve a sharp jump of 69% in memory compression rate and a 100% boost in app retention rate over Android.
The company announced to bring HyperSpace Memory feature to more devices this month. Hence, it appears the right time to explain the capability to users.
