Huawei is seemingly working on another premium small foldable phone. A new leak suggests that apart from upgrading the luxurious tri-fold and dual-folding handsets, the company is readying a new creation and will likely launch it soon.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus revealed that in addition to the Ultimate Design triple foldable, a new Huawei small folding device with premium changes is also in the works.
An early leak suggested that the Chinese tech giant will unveil a small, wide folding handset next year. The company is following a unique strategy where it is preparing another device to level up the competition in the foldable phone market.

In the latest edition, one more piece of information has been revealed about the new small folding device. Though it doesn’t confirm the timeline. It says that the company will enhance the cover display of the upcoming small fold, making it more worthwhile for the purchase.
Compact, wide foldable models are the new trend in the smartphone market. Every other tech giant is working on a small folding device with a wide screen and optimized hinge technology to keep pace with the champion Pura X Max.
Huawei, on the other hand, is ready to lift the bar of innovation to the next level with the Mate XT 2 tri-fold. The device is in rumors to adopt a U-like folding mechanism instead of the same Z-shaped layout to protect the display panels.
The company will unveil the dynamic 2026 Mate handsets probably in September this year. By the time, we may find more interesting details about its new foldable phone plans.
