Huawei Mate 90 series has started taking shape in the leaks corner, and the lineup has sparked discussion for an early launch this year. Instead of the regular release month, November, the top models could show up in the market by September or October.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus reported that the Huawei Mate 90 series could witness an early launch in 2026. The company might not make everyone wait until November.
As per the tipster, Huawei can return to its past launch timelines, when it used to unveil the Mate smartphones by September or October rather than launching them later.
Following the leak, another tipster mentioned that Huawei’s product rhythm can be set to normal this year. The company has been delaying its launches due to 5G chip production. But things have begun improving in this aspect starting in 2025.
Some netizens speculated that the Mate 90 series can launch in September, while being released in the market by October. However, the current leaked release is still within the time window, and the final date must be subject to official announcement.

Going to the flashback, the Chinese phone maker used to launch its Mate series between September and October. The timeline remained intact until 2023, when Huawei launched the Mate 60 series, marking the return of Kirin 5G in the market.
- Mate 20 series – October 2018
- Mate 30 series – September 2019
- Mate 40 series – October 2020
- Mate 50 series – September 2022
- Mate 60 series – Late August, early September 2023
To balance Kirin chip production, the company delayed the Mate 70 series launch to late November. 2025 Mate models also followed the same time. But instead of going on sale in December like their predecessors, the lineup hit the purchase line in the launch month.
We are still in the first half of 2026, and every year, we hear a similar “early launch” speculation for the Mate phones. Let’s see if the company turns this rumor into reality this time!
