Huawei MatePad Pro Max can run games at 144Hz refresh rate

Huawei has recently launched the world’s slimmest tablet – the MatePad Pro Max in China after its global debut and now it has confirmed its refresh rate for games – 144Hz. Although the company hasn’t announced this news directly to the tablet users.

Some tipsters found that the Huawei MatePad Pro Max can run the top game – Honor of Kings from Tencent, at a 144Hz ultra-high frame refresh rate without any issues.

The company introduced the new MatePad as the first “Pro Max” model in its tablet family. It initially made its way to the global market on May 7, while stepping onto the home ground early this month.

MatePad Pro Max official product page reveals many key features and specs of the device. But its refresh rate details are still missing despite its release in the market.

A new input suggests that the MatePad Pro Max features a 144Hz refresh rate for some of the top gaming apps. It also supports the highest graphics settings for the Honor of Kings game. Though whether this feature applies to all apps is unclear.

Refresh rates determine how many frames your device can display per second. It is mainly a parameter of the screen experience that leads to smoother visuals with reduced input lag and significantly less motion blur than other displays.

Perhaps the company will continue to enhance the gaming experience with the MatePad Pro Max via upcoming updates. In the meantime, you can turn on the Performance Mode to boost you game play.
