Following the global release, Huawei today scheduled the MatePad Pro Max China launch for June 1st. The company has announced that the flagship tablet will be available for pre-sale starting May 20 and will hit the official sale platform next month.
Huawei today shared a poster on its Chinese social media page and confirmed the launch of MatePad Pro Max in China on June 1st. The poster reveals two dates, related to the pre-sale activity and the official release of the top-tier PRO MAX tablet:
- May 20 (16:08 Beijing Time): Pre-Sale
- June 1st (16:08 Beijing Time): Official Sale
The company further mentioned that the tablet will be available for pre-order at the online VMall store, authorized e-commerce/retailer channels, and the Huawei Experience Store. Interested buyers can visit these spots to reserve the tablet in advance.
MatePad Pro Max will continue to showcase the same “sleek and ultra-slim” design profile as the global sibling. Though the difference will appear in terms of internal specifications and tech capabilities. The first change is the tablet’s software system.

Unlike the global variant running the 4.3 build, the MatePad Pro Max Chinese models will debut with HarmonyOS 6 or later in their home market. Besides, it will support a keyboard and stylus – though you need to purchase them separately.
Huawei hasn’t revealed any key features or China-exclusive specifications of the MatePad Pro Max yet. Though it has started teasing new devices coming next month. Perhaps it may soon shed light on other highlights and products launching on June 1st.
