After the ultimate Nova 16 series, Huawei MatePad Pro Max now debuts in China with some interesting upgrades over the global variant. The company has integrated enhanced internal parameters into the tablet with a special Kirin 5G processor.
MatePad Pro Max is a prominent iteration of the MatePad Pro 13.2 model. As of its new ritual, the company has now introduced a “PRO MAX” device to its tablet lineup, following the success in the smartphone category.
Huawei MatePad Pro Max debuts in China as the world’s thinnest tablet. It is a perfect alternative to many rival ‘slim large-screen devices’ in the consumer market.
The device steps onto the home stage with many surprises. The highlight is the Kirin T93 Pro chipset, which is expected to be the tablet version of the Kirin 9030 Pro.
Combined with HarmonyOS 6.1, the new chip provides a 45% improvement in the tablet’s performance over the previous-generation MatePad Pro 13.2 2025 model.

Huawei MatePad Pro Max supports a four-finger swipe gesture to easily swap between tablet and desktop mode. While the first mode boosts creativity without any interruptions, the PC mode elevates efficiency for intense operations.
One can enter the PC mode with just a click and directly access PC-level apps like the WPS Office Suite. You can also connect it with the Glide Keyboard and mouse for a full office-like experience.
In addition, the device has a special Educational Space feature. It is not only distraction-free but also helps enhance the learning experience for students. Ultra-smooth Ark Engine is another highlight that enables the tablet to open 20 apps at a time. Huawei’s self-made Music app further boosts the device.
Specifications
The ultimate PRO MAX tablet comes in two shimmery colors: Blue and Space Gray. It measures 289.34 x 196.34 x 4.7mm – slimmer than the Honor MagicPad 4 Pro. It weighs 499 grams. But the PaperMatte Edition has a weight of 509 grams.
