Nova 16 series is another significant smartphone lineup that will join the Huawei family in probably the first half of this year with new chip, camera, and battery upgrades. The device has once again appeared in the leaks corners, revealing its key parameters.
SmartPikachu has shared the Huawei Nova 16 series specifications again, including the chip, camera, and battery info. Even though the tipster didn’t reveal the complete parameters of the new smartphones, it shed light on the key spec parts.
The Nova 16 handsets will continue to feature dual multispectral sensors – one on the front face and another on the rear setup. But the company may further improve these sensors for the new lineup, providing clearer and more color-rich shots.
Besides, the upcoming Nova models could bring a 7000mAh battery pack. Huawei will likely use the rumored cell capacity for the high-end variants while keeping the Nova 16 vanilla version on a 6000+mAh battery.
In terms of the chipset, the Nova 16 series will use an upgraded Kirin 9 series processor over the previous-generation models. For comparison, the standard Nova 15 has a Kirin 8020 5G processor, while the top-tier versions run on Kirin 9010S.
Huawei Nova 16 Pro Max (rumored) is expected to feature Kirin 9020, and the base model could adopt a Kirin 8 series mobile processor. Things are uncertain on this subject at present.
Other features of the Huawei Nova 16 series can include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with enhanced unlocking security, a metal middle frame to give a slim profile to the device, and improved wireless charging.
The tipster added that amid all these upgrades, the back panel design of the Nova 16 series is going to be quite interesting. Huawei already made a major shift in the Nova 15 phones’ appearance last year. What’s new in cooking for the next-gen models is worth looking at.
