Just a couple of days more and we’ll have a clear image of the Huawei Pura X Max and its top-notch specifications, like the camera setup, battery, and display technology. Meanwhile, a tipster has dropped an interesting hint about the new wide foldable.
As noted by FixedFocus, the Huawei Pura X Max will probably feature a Mate X7-like camera setup on the back. Of course, this leak hints at the imaging sensors the clamshell product will bring on its back.
While Huawei has teased some WOW factors of the Pura X Max, including its design and AI features, the camera parameters of this foldable are missing from the frame.
But the latest information suggests that the new wide-screen foldable will follow the Mate X7 in terms of camera sensors. Pura X Max might bring a 50MP ultra-high dynamic range main camera, a 40MP ultrawide-angle lens, a 50MP telephoto macro, and a second-generation color reproduction sensor.
On the front face, it could either show an 8MP or a 10.7MP ultrawide-angle selfie shooter. Though how far these specs turn out to be true for the Pura X Max is uncertain at present.

For comparison, the Pura X foldable has a 50MP ultra vision camera, a 40MP ultrawide-angle sensor, an 8MP telephoto, and a 1.5MP multispectral camera. If the new clamshell brings Mate X7-like imaging lenses, it will really be a big upgrade.
Pura X Max has been in the rumors for being a major iteration over the 2025 Pura foldable. Following the latest leak, it seems the company has also worked on the camera experience of the device, apart from its design and AI creativity.
The tipster hasn’t shared the imaging specs of the Pura X Max yet. Though we don’t have to wait for much to check on the official revelations. Stay tuned.
