Huawei Cloud has recently hosted the INSPIRE Creators Conference, where it shared its upcoming AI chip launch plans – one Ascend processor every year. The company adds that with every new generation, the Ascend chipsets will bring real breakthroughs.
On June 5, the Huawei Cloud INSPIRE Creators Event took place (via – SemiconductorX). The Vice President of Huawei and Director of its China Cloud Business, Chen Lin, delivered a keynote.
In his speech, Chen mentioned that the global supply of computing power is dealing with major challenges. Meanwhile, the memory price hike has added more tension.
Although Huawei seems to have a subtle yet significant plan to manage this situation for both its automobile solution business and AI semiconductor technology unit.
The company says that it will launch one new-generation Huawei Ascend AI chip every year with improvements in every aspect – from performance to overall efficiency. Highlighting the internal changes to some extent, Chen Lin stated:
“Ascend processors are evolving at a rate where the computing power is increasing constantly. Huawei plans one new generation per year, computing power doubles.”

Huawei has already introduced its “ground-breaking chipmaking strategies” for 2026 in the form of Tau Scaling Law and LogicFolding architecture. At the same time, it will continue to push new AI chipsets in the market as an alternative to Nvidia chips.
Details further reveal that Huawei Cloud aims to develop a global computing network covering over 34 regions and 102 availability zones across the world using its self-developed Ascend AI chipsets and native supply systems.
The company also looks forward to better digital +smart transformation tech solutions for enterprises. At the same time, it focuses on its self-driving AI solutions. Chen said that the company will continue to invest heavily in this business in the future.
Smart Car companies will get safer and more reliable cloud infrastructure, as well as sustainable evolution of computing power. The products will be easy to use in every way.
