Huawei Kirin 5G chipset is not only making a return to the global market but also on one of the popular performance benchmark databases – Geekbench. A listing shows that the company has recently certified its upcoming Pura phones for a global launch.
According to the Geekbench 6.0 platform, the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max with the SCA-LX9 model number has been certified for a July 14 debut in the overseas market.
While Geekbench reveals normal specs of the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max, the highlight is the “Hisilicon Kirin” mobile chipset moniker in the CPU information section.
Up to this point, the Geekbench database has only shown “vendor” in the name section of the CPU information. Though after a long time, it has directly mentioned “Hisilicon Kirin”.
Starting with the system details, the 2026 Pura phone will pre-install Android 16-based EMUI version. However, the company hasn’t announced any news of a new EMUI software upgrade for its global handsets yet.
Next, the CPU information part shows “Hisilicon Kirin” in the Name section. It is an octa-core chip with 12-thread technology. The base frequency of the new Kirin processor is 1.62GHz. Meanwhile, the overall core configuration is as follows:
- 4 cores @ 1.62GHz
- 6 cores @ 2.15GHz
- 2 cores @ 2.70GHz

It seems the chipset configuration belongs to the Kirin 9030S. Both standard and 9030 Pro processors have slightly more cores and threads. The details are as follows:
Kirin 9030: It has 9 cores and 12 threads. The configuration includes two large cores of 2.75GHz, four medium cores of 1.72GHz, and six cores of 2.27GHz.
Kirin 9030 Pro: It also has 9 cores but 14 threads, consisting of two large cores of 2.75GHz, four medium cores of 1.72GHz, and eight cores of 2.27GHz. The chip is further coupled with the Maleoon 935 GPU.
Pura 90 Pro Max global variant runs on 12GB RAM and achieved 1305 points in single-core testing and 4415 points in multi-core testing. It has shown impressive power in file compression, navigation, background blur, photo filter, ray tracing, and more.
