HDC26 will take place next week, and Huawei has already begun touting its upcoming HarmonyOS iteration. According to the tech giant, the new version of its self-developed operating system is much easier and more user-friendly than ever before.
The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business, He Gang, shared a post today on his Chinese social media account and said that HarmonyOS is accelerating at the HDC26 nears.
According to the CEO, Huawei is constantly enhancing HarmonyOS via new apps and services. It is not only launching new native apps but also improving the existing ones.
Gang further states that the Huawei HarmonyOS is becoming more user-friendly, and perhaps we will have the first glimpse of this new experience at the HDC26 event.
The chief executive adds that the company is inviting the world’s top ecosystem partners and developers to gather in Songshan Lake to share the latest innovations. Looks like Huawei has added even more interesting tweaks to its self-made OS.

Every year, the HDC event introduces a new software version that can meet users’ needs and improve their daily experience with the device. And 2026 is no new exception here. Huawei is ready to showcase HarmonyOS 7.0 next week.
What the new HarmonyOS iteration will bring to the stage is currently under wraps. Of course, there would be new UI customizations, better AI tools, and more. But these things will get clear by next week. Huawei’s He Gang states:
“HarmonyOS ecosystem is accelerating! Not only are there in-depth innovations in mainstream applications, but more and more creative apps are exclusively launched in HarmonyOS. It is the efforts of every developer to make HarmonyOS go from easy to more user-friendly.”
