Huawei had a strong smartphone sales performance in China for Q2 2026 as it sold 15.2 million units, according to Omdia. The company’s pricing game has garnered a lot of consumers’ attention towards its devices compared to the other top brands.
Researchers at Omdia published the Q2 2026 China smartphone sales report where Huawei sold 15.2 million units. The company maintained its lead at a time when the market itself is seeing a decline due to the ongoing price shifts in components.
According to the details, the tech giant has achieved 23% of the market share and ranked first. Last year (during the same period), Huawei shipped 12.2 million devices and captured an 18% share. This year, it attained a yearly growth rate of 25%.
Principal analyst at Omdia, Hayden Hou, said that the Mate phone maker has maintained a relatively stable pricing posture and continued to reinforce the competitiveness of both its entry-level and flagship series.
Thus, the company gained a favorable market response for new models like the Pura X Max and Enjoy 90 Pro Max. Speaking of its growth, the analyst stated:
“Huawei’s continuous market share growth during the first half of 2026 is driven not only by the resilient demand in the premium segment but also by its own competitive advantages.”

iPhone maker has appeared in the second spot with 12.4 million phone sales and 19% market share. It has obtained 24% year-over-year growth. Just like Huawei, Apple also maintained a stable pricing of iPhones and hence gained success in Q2.
OPPO has sold 10.6 million units with a market share of 16% and a 9% decline in annual growth. The fourth position goes to Vivo with 10.5 million units, as well as 16% of the market share. Xiaomi has ranked fifth with 8.2 million shipments.
Apart from Huawei and Apple, all Android brands on China’s smartphone sales ranking are experiencing negative growth. Will the ranking contain the same positioning in the upcoming quarters is worth looking at!
