Huawei is rolling out HarmonyOS 6.1 for the Watch GT 6 users, and the new upgrade unlocks a significant feature that will let them measure their running potential. The latest software version also brings some other interesting sports features.
Watch GT 6 already has various sports features. But the wearable is getting more practical capabilities with HarmonyOS 6.1. It not only adds significant changes but also improves the existing capabilities.
Per the official details, the Huawei Watch GT 6 series gets a running potential monitoring feature that will enable users to measure the power they use while running.
The new running power measurement feature lets you precisely control your pace and improve your performance accordingly. It provides easier-to-understand multi-dimensional data insights that let you adjust your running routine.
It detects your energy, whether you are sprinting or cruising long distances, making running healthier and longer. Besides, it shows the daily distribution of aerobic and anaerobic exercises, balancing your training structure with a periodic plan.
Other features include training status with optimal load range to control the exercise intensity and performance prediction with a detailed training plan.

The company is releasing the new HarmonyOS 6.1 update for the Watch GT 6 in China. The corresponding wearable users can install the firmware manually by opening the Huawei Health App > Device > General Settings > Firmware Update > Check for Updates.
