After several new smartphones, Huawei is seemingly working on two new tablets powered by Kirin T9 and T8 series chipsets. The company will likely bring more incredible large-screen devices with enhanced features and upgraded specifications.
DigitalChatStation noted that Huawei has two new MatePad tablets in its 2026 pipeline with enhanced Kirin T9 and T8 series chipsets. The former SoC version hints at a flagship model, while the second one could belong to the mid-range family.
The tipster detailed both tablets to some extent. The first one has a DAL model number. It is a flagship device with an ultra-thin and lightweight design. It will support Beidou satellite messaging, NearLink tech, and magnetic accessories.
In terms of chipset, the device will likely use a Kirin T9 series processor – similar to the Kirin 9030. Although other parameters of this tablet are missing from the frame.
Another tablet in the leak seems to be a mid-ranger. It will run on the Kirin T8 series SoC. It will support 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM options. The tipster said that the cost-effective tablet will feature the following color schemes:
- Warm Cloud White
- Sunny Blue
- Cherry Blossom Pink, and more…
Adding more, the Weibo leaker suggested that Huawei has a comprehensive tablet lineup. It not only has large or just small models but also medium-sized devices, LCD screen mid-range MatePads, and of course, the all-new mini OLED versions.
The Chinese tech giant will continue to expand these tablet lineups with new iterations and interesting upgrades. Stay tuned.
