Along with the pictures come some specs and the rumored price range: $379 to $499. The Galaxy Glasses won’t have a screen, but the second generation, codenamed Haean, will. These are expected to land in 2027 for a price of between $600 and $900.

Going back to the first Galaxy Glasses, these will compete head-on with the Meta Ray-Ban glasses, but of course the Samsung glasses will run Android XR. That means they will come with Gemini built-in. Apparently we should hear more about the Android XR platform at Google I/O next month.

Samsung is working with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster on the frames. The Galaxy Glasses are said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chipset, which supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. The glasses allegedly have a 155 mAh battery, a 12MP camera using the Sony IMX681 sensor, directional speakers, and a weight of about 50g.

The Galaxy Glasses might be unveiled during Samsung’s summer Unpacked event, that’s most likely taking place in July (the same one where the company will introduce the Galaxy Z Fold8, the Galaxy Z Flip8, and the Galaxy Z Fold Wide).
