Huawei has released a fresh HarmonyOS 6 test campaign, which includes smartwatches from the Watch 5, Ultimate, and Fit 4 series. The company has officially confirmed that the latest recruitment is open for HarmonyOS 6.0.0.328.
Huawei has been adding new features to its smartwatches to improve their user experiences. However, the focus on increasing the potential of HarmonyOS 6 has increased over the past few months, especially for smart wearables.
The new round adopts test users from the following models:
- Huawei Watch Ultimate 2
- Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Gold Edition
- Huawei Watch 5 42mm
- Huawei Watch 5 46mm
- Huawei Watch Fit 4
- Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro
The Watch ultimate lineup is required with HarmonyOS 6.0.0.209 and 230, the Watch 5 series needs 6.0.0.119/120, and the Watch Fit 4 series will require users to grab 6.0.0.22/23 to participate in the beta program.
After successful registration, Huawei will push the first beta update to users via OTA update, and it will bring these new capabilities.
- Incoming calls can be silenced by covering the watch screen, making it easy to handle.
- The alarm supports customizable delay times to meet your preference.
- Enhance the collaboration experience with smartphones. The mobile app supports displaying reminders when the watch has a low or full battery, or when the watch is not being worn (Huawei Health app needs to be updated to version 16.0.12.305 or above).
- The weather app now includes information such as hourly UV intensity, wind chill, hourly wind chill, and sunset glow, providing richer and more comprehensive data.
Added more professional data to help you gain a more comprehensive understanding of your exercise status:
- Training load is now separated into aerobic and anaerobic exercises.
- A new optimal load range has been added to the training status.
- Added average pace data to performance prediction during training.
This new HarmonyOS 6 test software will also bring optimizations for the Huawei Watch 5 series and other smartwatches.
- Optimizes the automatic segmentation and interval reminder settings for some exercise types to provide you with a consistent user experience.
- The recovery time displayed in the workout log has been optimized for clarity and intuitiveness.
- Optimizes the calibration experience for altimeters and barometers.
This recruitment is currently limited to China, but the feature could expand to users across the globe where these wearables have been marketed once the program concludes.
