Huawei Pura 90 Series: Here’s everything you need to before launch

Huawei is ready to unwrap its new Pura 90 series devices at the upcoming April 20 event, and everything about this lineup is going to be a headline – from its gradient-fused design to new specifications. And who knows, it may also have some surprising additions to capture your interest.

The Chinese tech giant will release this year’s Pura smartphone series next week (Monday), at a grand-scale event in China. In the meantime, it is warming up the approaching handsets and their features to maintain the attention of consumers.

Pura 90 series is expected to be one of the best Huawei flagship lineups in the market, and before its official unveiling, here’s everything you need to know about it!

Let’s begin.

Starting with the models, Huawei has announced only two Pura phones this time: Pro and Pro Max. There is no sign of the vanilla version yet and it’s unclear if the company will showcase it at the event or ditch it just like the Ultra handset.

Huawei P series has been following a four-model strategy for years. Things changed with the rebranded Pura family that introduced the fourth model as an Ultra.

But the Chinese OEM could return to its year-old strategy with the Pura 90 series. Again, the concept of the standard version in this family is unclear at present.

Design: Pura 90 series will follow the footsteps of the previous-gen models with the same triangular camera framework, while polishing the back with a gradient look. This is part of procedural design upgrades. Instead of drastic, the company chooses to keep things subtle yet amazingly beautiful.

Display parameters for the Pura 90 series are still under wraps. Though the company may stretch the dimensions to some extent to deliver enhanced viewing experiences.

Camera: Huawei has confirmed a 200MP periscope camera for the Pura 90 series. While the complement sensors are unknown at present, the company revealed that the flagship lineup supports 20x telephoto video shoot zooming capability.

On the other hand, the Pura 90 Pro Max is in the rumors to continue the legacy of the dual zoom imaging sensor, just like the Pura 80 Ultra.

The entire attention this time goes to the 200MP camera, which is the first of its kind in the Huawei family. And this move hints that the Pura phones will maintain their place in the DXOMARK camera smartphone listing.

Chipset: Kirin 9030 series is expected to be part of the new Pura 90 series. But a recent leak suggested that the company might swap these processors with other SoCs.

Huawei Pura 90 series can come out of the box with the HarmonyOS 6.1 software system. It will also bring an upgraded Celia AI app with surprising features.

Based on previous launches, Huawei could maintain the affordable price of the Pura 90 series. Though all of these details are still under wraps. The final price tags will appear on the launch day.
